Megan Dumaine – The Wedding Embassy
I met Megan at Starbuck’s a couple years ago, and ever since then I’ve always seen her with a cup of coffee in hand. So it was only natural to include it in the shot. Although being in front of a camera is probably her least favorite thing to do, she was happy to be a part of my project. I haven’t named it yet (project names are sort of silly anyways), but its focus is on business owners, artists, and professionals.
I see Megan from time to time, usually on staged shoots, during music videos shot next door, or on magazine shoots I’ve done in the lot behind her. She’s very much a community oriented individual and a good fit as a local business owner. The fact that she’s expanded twice since I’ve known her proves she’s doing something right. I’m sure that success will continue in the years to come. She’s around for the long haul.
If you asked me to think of her right now, I’d probably envision a huge smile transitioning with lightening speed to a look of utter gloom. But a light hearted gloom. The kind of gloom where you realize nothing really makes sense and you’re sort of forced to deal with it, but you like dealing with it because you’re doing something you have a genuine interest and passion for. That sort of mental-juxtaposition is a good spot to be in, if you ask me.
I’m happy to know Megan and glad she stepped in front of the lens for me this morning.
